A Key Aspect of the Warwick Tennis experience is our ‘Social Play’. Social Play allows people from all abilities, whether you have been playing tennis for years, or if you have never picked up a racket before, to be able to play some tennis and also socialise with various members across the club. It is, therefore, the perfect place to make new friendships as well as to try and improve your tennis ability at the same time. Social Play offers a range of games to play, some which you may be familiar with like ‘Eliminator’ and ‘Around the World’ whilst also offering games which are more unique to Warwick Tennis like ‘Stan Matthews’ or ‘Bluff’.
Social Play is on at the Westwood Courts every Sunday at 13:30-15:00 and Wednesday from 13:30-15:30 and is currently run by our Internal Events Team. Be sure to come along and take advantage of this opportunity to meet and chat with new people whilst being able to flex your tennis ability too!
Matchplay takes place every week on a Sunday, lasting from 2:30-4:00pm. It gives members an opportunity to play short singles or doubles matches in a friendly environment. It’s a great way to get involved in the club and meet people while also honing your tennis skills! On top of this, Ladder Competitions run throughout the year for you to play other members of Warwick Tennis in your own time, as well as on Sunday afternoons.
